FAQ

Pathora, Pathway, AI, and the learning platform in plain language.

Product

What is Pathora?

Pathora is an AI-assisted IELTS learning system. It includes the Pathora app, this website, and — when you sign in — learning and Pathway features on the EduZMS LMS at study.eduzms.com (study plans, assignments, benchmarks, progress, and teacher review where your programme uses it).

How is Pathora different from the previous IELTS app?

Pathora is the current product name for this learning experience, built for the same kind of IELTS practice and feedback. The earlier app in the same family has been retired in favour of the Pathora name and a tighter link to the LMS at study.eduzms.com for accounts, Pathway, and class workflows. Feature names may differ by version.

What is IELTS (in one line)?

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test of English used for study, work, and migration. Pathora helps you practise — it is not a replacement for the official test.

What’s the difference between a mini and a full benchmark?

A mini benchmark is shorter and may focus on specific skills. A full benchmark is broader. Neither is an official IELTS result — they are learning assessments to guide your study.

AI and feedback

How does AI feedback work?

You submit writing or use speaking features. Pathora (including PathoraAI where available) and, when needed, carefully selected services process your input to return scores, comments, and suggestions. This is for learning support — see our Terms of Service for the full AI disclaimer.

Is the score “real” IELTS scoring?

No. AI and in-app band estimates are not official IELTS scores. Only IELTS test centres and official tests give certified results. Use Pathora to practise and improve, not as proof of a band for visa or university requirements.

Why do my scores vary between tasks?

That’s normal. Scores can change with the task, your energy, and how the model interprets a single sample. For fastest improvement, review feedback, target weak areas, and follow your study plan on the LMS if your teacher or programme has set one.

LMS and sign-in

Why am I sent to study.eduzms.com?

Pathora uses study.eduzms.com as its learning platform to manage your courses, progress, assignments, and teacher feedback.

Data and privacy

Is my data safe?

We take security seriously. Core account and learning data are stored in the LMS; some app data may sit on your device. We use AI for learning features under our Privacy Policy and Terms. We do not sell your personal data. For full detail, read the Privacy Policy.

Is my voice recorded?

If you use speaking or recording features, audio may be recorded on your device and sent for processing (for example scoring or transcription) as described in the Privacy Policy. You should only record where you are allowed to, and in line with your school or workplace rules if applicable.

Where is the Privacy Policy?

In the site footer, or go straight to the Privacy Policy page.

Credits and payments

How do credits work?

Many AI and premium actions use credits (or similar entitlements), depending on your app version. Credits may be earned, purchased, or included in a plan. They have no cash value, may be non-refundable except where the store or the law say otherwise, and can reset or change as described in-app or at purchase. See Pricing if your build shows it.

Where can I buy credits or subscriptions?

Usually in the Pathora app via the Apple App Store or your device’s app store, or other flows your version shows. Refunds and billing follow the store or payment provider. For questions, email support@eduzms.com with your platform and a short description.

What if I uninstall the app—do I keep my credits?

Some balances are device- or account-bound. Reinstalls may not restore every consumable. Subscriptions, where linked to a store account, are often restorable. Check in-app Support → credits / billing / restore if your version includes it, or ask support@eduzms.com.

How do I redeem a code or restore purchases?

If your app has redemption or “restore” options, they are under Support or account settings. Codes are usually one-time per offer. If you are stuck, email support@eduzms.com with a screenshot and your app version.

Technical and offline

Why isn’t something working (loading, scoring, or sign-in)?

Check your internet connection and app or browser version. For AI, ensure you have credits or access if the feature needs it. For LMS or Pathway, try signing in at study.eduzms.com with the same account. If it persists, contact support@eduzms.com or WeChat eduzms for general community support.

Can I use the app offline?

Some browsing or review may work offline; AI scoring, sync, and LMS features usually need a connection. See what your app version offers.
